I made two simple changes in 2024:
1) Eat 200 grams of protein per day
2) Lift as heavy as I can; life to failure
Completely transformed my life...
When I aim to eat 200 grams of protein, I by default am forced to cut out certain swaths of food entirely just to hit my macros
I've always been a lousy sleeper, but more protein has done wonders for my sleep... consistently getting 1.5 hours of both deep and REM per night
Lifting insanely heavy has transformed the way I look, think, and feel.
The increase in muscle mass is nice, can actually see new muscles popping and muscle growth. And overall my testosterone has increased drastically which has reduced my anxiety by an order of magnitude
These pieces work together: I sleep better, which means I can lift heavier, which means I am hungry, which means I am forced to eat more protein, which helps me sleep better....
